Introduction
The capital will be used to expand BeeX’s fleet of autonomous underwater drones and its operational reach.
The convergence of rising offshore infrastructure integrity requirements and defense modernization is creating a generational opportunity in underwater robotics, and BeeX is positioned to build the defining platform for it.

The underwater domain is one of the last frontiers of physical AI. No GPS, poor visibility, and unpredictable currents have made autonomous navigation underwater historically difficult. However, recent breakthroughs in robotics and machine learning have made reliable autonomy possible and BeeX is one of the only companies in the world to have pushed adaptive autonomy into genuine operational maturity, delivering autonomous capabilities for both critical commercial infrastructure and defense applications.
Three proof points underlie our conviction:
- The team. Grace Chia and Goh Eng Wei bring together decades of hands-on subsea commercial and defense expertise since co-founding the underwater robotics team at NUS over fourteen years ago. With their lead, BeeX is bringing autonomy to the underwater domain in a reliable, robust and sustainable way.
- Defense demand has gone from strategic to urgent. When the Strait of Hormuz was disrupted this year, sensing, detecting, and inspecting underwater mines became a global naval priority overnight. Singapore's Ministry of Defence has already partnered with BeeX on a category-defining, multi-million dollar contract spanning coastal and subsea inspection, base protection, and mine countermeasures.
- The commercial case is proven. BeeX serves the fast-growing offshore wind industry alongside oil and gas operators, subsea cable owners, and coastal infrastructure managers, all carrying inspection requirements that are regulated, recurring, and expensive to service conventionally. Its autonomous inspection platform is already deployed across APAC and Europe for leading offshore asset owners, cutting inspection costs and operational risk well below what traditional ROV and diver-based methods can achieve.
We're excited to partner with Grace, Eng Wei, and the BeeX team as they continue to transform underwater operations from Singapore to the globe.
About BeeX
BeeX designs, deploys, and operates fully autonomous underwater drones that unlocks the economics and scale of underwater asset integrity inspection.
Where traditional remotely-operated inspection methods demand highly trained pilots, dynamic positioning vessels, and extended project timelines, BeeX eliminates these dependencies entirely. BeeX’s autonomous systems deliver reliable underwater data at up to 50% lower cost than traditional Work-Class Remotely-Operated Vehicle (ROV) operations, consistent and repeatable across any environment.
Backed by 14 years of underwater data and proven deployments across offshore energy, defence, and coastal infrastructure, BeeX is the industry's most advanced and field-validated end-to-end solution for autonomous underwater operations at scale.
