Sian is an Operating Advisor at Monk’s Hill Ventures, a leading early-stage tech venture capital firm in Southeast Asia. He is experienced in business development, operations, and internationalization.

Sian is the co-founder and CTO of Finaxar, which uses big data and artificial intelligence to provide supply chain financing for SMEs in Southeast Asia. He has decades of experience in startups and technology.

He was an early investor and pioneer of touch feedback technology across networks for Immersion (technology now used in major console game controllers, automotive, medical and mobile systems), and holds 10 patents. Sian developed the spinout program for the Fraunhofer Society, Europe’s largest contract research organization that created MP3 and advised Primesense (makers of Microsoft’s Kinect). He was also founder and CEO of Thermagine, which provides advanced phase-change energy storage solutions.

Sian graduated with a BSc in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Bristol, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
